Add-E 600W Ebike Kit Video Review

Add-E 600W Ebike Kit Video Review

The Add-E 600W Kit is exceedingly compact, light weight and easy to remove (for temporary unpowered use) though it does produce more noise than most of the ebike kits I’ve tested. The bottle style battery pack is beautiful, the cap twists to add power at 50 watt increments up to 250 making it legal internationally, limited top speed of 15.5 mph. Lots of optional accessories including a twist or trigger throttle, the included five magnet pedelec disc isn’t super responsive but works well and qualifies as Class 1. Compatible with a wide range of bicycle types but may require extra work to install (completely removing the bottom bracket), solid six month battery warranty.

Stuck crankset. Loosen bolt/nut and go for a ride. Bounce your weight over the pedals. If you want to add heat make sure you get it real hot and then quench it with cold water. Then repeat the ride and bounce weight over pedals.

While the info and review are quite good… I’m sure you could condense it to way less then 30 minutes! It gets really boring when you repeat yourself and go into minute details that perhaps aren’t that important. Don’t think of it as a bash, but just some constructive criticism….

Today the market ifor American quality products is so bad in Europe that manufacturers start offering high end American products at a very affordable price level. This is so in cars , clothes computers all American made. And this strategy works marketingwise, it is the best mouth-to – mouth advertising. Our governments have been campaigning for years against the USA. When people see an American flag the deal is over. .

So you have to look at it from a sales perspective. Many commuters in Europe do not have the money for new electric bikes and if you want to convert faster the customer should get help. This is not the case today. Never saw an add e bike riding here. Big manufacturers shouldl provide add e like conversion kits for customer group that cannot afford a new electric bike. Not that difficult but it would help the market cuz now it is just waiting for others to come up with ideas. Even it could be Europe homologates a chinese inferior product. Very likely even.

I woulda had that crank off in a minute. Tighten the crank puller .. put a bar through from the other side to the inside if the crank. Good size hammer ….. hitter hard … they come off. 35 years bike wrenchin says so. Dirty bike comes in…. go clean it or 20 bucks for me to do it addded to the bill

Your top speed would depend on your tire size and the noise could be reduced by putting a smoother tread Tire

i think its so cool how small, and simple that it is. but what actually sucks about it is that loud sound that it makes. that actually is a deal breaker to me and the fact that you were not happy with the power that also ruins it for me. i dont like that you have to get to a certain speed for it to start…etc. it is an awesome concept being small and simple. that is pretty cool but its not worth that annoying noise! and the tiny battery capacity. i think ima go to my original plan and buy a cheap 500 watt 36v ebay kit, and build my own battery. that was my original plan until i heard of this add-e.

interesting review buddy ..think youd be happier with deristricted mid drive motor ..only down side the derestricted chip is expensive and they don't always work ! ..however on your bike hub drive may give your a bit more tork .. but you may have to hack speed controller .. I got an lfaster kit it gives me up to 20 mph if I pedal on large gear but I had to weld it to frame as rear frame stays were tapered ..I got a video on it some where … down side motor gets really hot and drains battery ..but on 20 camp battery I get 15 mile range ! atb buddy THE FAIRYTALE WIZARD ! oH ALSO GOT AN AIRSOFT !MICH helmet with built in glasses as it allows me to put accesorys like lights n headphones all on the same unit ….just a thought !

There's also a different tool you can use to take off the crank set if the threads are fucked. I forgot what its called but there is a guy on YouTube that has a video of him using it…but I forgot the name of the guy that has the video up too.

add-e is not available in Belgium. It is the ideal step-up for bike convertors. Never seen it mounted on a regular bike in my country and there are many bikes. The price is ok. Bike shops should promote conversions for people who find an all new electric bike too expensive.
